FUNDCON HAS BEEN OPENED – SUSTAINABILITY AS MISSION (IM)POSSIBLE
The second national fundraising congress – FundCon has been opened in the Novi Sad Master Centre by the lecture of LinkedIn. This is a three-day congress which gathers socially responsible companies, foundations, embassies as well as the state itself, along with civil sector organizations around the same table.
This year, the lectures have been divided in three parts. The first day of the Congress is dedicated to marketing strategies. “We, as an organization for young people, understand how we can be support for young people from the community, and the role of OPENS is open door and the support. Thereby, we show young people that someone is listening to their ideas and that there is the need for their ideas to be implemented”, Vukašin Grozdanović, OPENS Coordinator explains.
During the three days of September, for the first time in Novi Sad, European Youth Capital gathers people from Dublin, where the lecturers from LinkedIn are coming from, to two UNova agencies (UNIDO and UNICEF), VIP, Smart Kolektiv, Execom, Catalyst and many more. “In one of the companies in which I have worked, we were talking about how we should appreciate our work because that is the way to expand the business. It is always good to share your knowledge because other people can learn from that”, Tomas Susedik before LinkedIn says.
Apart from the opportunity for networking or agitation with funds of donors, young people are given the opportunity to learn practical strategies. The program is designed as an interactive and it consists of several smaller events adjusted to the interests of participants.
FundCon is primarily intended for representatives of the organizations of civil society from Serbia, Youth Office, but also the representatives of companies which want to launch socially responsible business, representatives of institutions as well as individuals who deal with project management. The following two days of Congress are dedicated to the topics of fundraising and human resources.
