Workshop: Calligraphy to China
The workshop is designed with the purpose of informing young people about the Chinese culture, tradition and identity, as well as the means of communication, but also as a part of OPENS work room, whose purpose is to provide the space for volunteers and young activists to design activities for other young people. This workshop has been designed by the volunteer Marina Đurić.
The idea is to raise awareness of young people about different cultures and to bring Chinese culture closer to young people from Serbia, to show different manner of writing, customs and communication.
The first part of the workshop is intended for introducing the participants with Chinese culture through interactive work.
The second part of the workshop refers to the introduction of tools and ideograms which they will be written, and the writing itself. The third part includes a short presentation of Chinese tradition and culture.

OPENS workroom is organised with the support of Confucius Institute of the University of Novi Sad. Confucius Institute of the University of Novi Sad was made upon the initiative of the embassy of the National Republic of China in Serbia and Hanban, headquarters of all Confucius institutes. They have merged with the University of Agriculture and Forestry Zhejiang – ZAFU, from this Chinese province whose capital is the city of Hangzhou, with the University in Novi Sad, seated at the bank of the Danube, in the core of Vojvodina.
One of the goals of the Confucius Institute is to create a pleasant atmosphere for learning Chinese language and the introduction with the Chinese culture in Serbia.
