What Is A Recipe For A Good Film? In Order To Find Out The Answer To This Question, Come To The 17th Film Front!
The seventeenth International Short Film Festival “Film Front” will be held from 24 until 27 October at the cinema hall of Culture Centre of Novi Sad.
During the four days, more than hundred short films will be shown within the main and the accompanying program of the festival. Film Front has two competition selections – Serbia/region and International selection, and thereby, it provides the authors and viewers an insight in the wider picture of the direction in which modern film art is developing, as well as the actual insight in the quality of domestic production in relation to cinematography of others.
The festival today focuses primarily on young professionals who, through an experiment, strive to develop their author’s expression. Apart from the competition selections, there are also special programs and projections which provide additional focus on certain topics, trends, social movements, as well as Front’s film workshops where new hopes of film production are educated. This year, Front’s film workshops are held with the support of European Youth Capital Novi Sad 2019, and thereby, more than fifty young people have attended or are attending the workshops about scenario, direction, camera, production and film critics.
Also, within the accompanying program of the first festival day, within the “Novi Sad Presents” program, we will see the films of young authors from Novi Sad. “DokuFront” brings short documentary films, while “Kinoplov” will present films from the archive of Kino klub Novi Sad and bring us back to past for a moment.
Apart from that, within the “Frontić” program, animated films for the youngest audience will be presented, and at “HororFront”, we will see short horror films. All of this will be followed by the festival opening and closing parties, and entrance is free of charge for all programs.
