RECOGNIZE US, WE ARE HERE…
We want young people to know, to initiate activities, initiatives, ideas and to actively participate in all processes, including the decision-making processes. That is the society we want.
Available data, at both regional and national level, now indicate that young people are not sufficiently introduced with mechanisms of protection of their rights, as well as that the degree of their participation in the process of decision-making is insufficient.
The “Recognize Us, We Are Here” conference, organised by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality with the help of European Youth Capital is intended for young people from the entire country.
At Eđšeg Culture Station, on 28 November, the results of the analysis of the questionnaire of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality about participation of young people will be presented, we will have the chance to hear the examples of good practice when it comes to the work with young people, but also the volunteering experience and the manner of functioning of the platforms intended for young people.
One of the pillars at which the entire program of OPENS stands is the diversity of young people in different societies, as well as active participation of young people. The projects like this one should further improve the position of young people in Serbia and ensure their participation at all levels of decision-making, especially those which directly influence their life and support in society.
