“Protection and Safety of Children and Young People within Youth Work” Training

15 - 17 November Sremski Karlovci

How do we recognise and react in case of harassment of children and young people? How to create healthy and safe environment while working with young people? How to professionally protect young people and ourselves? How to create policies and what do they serve for? Those are only some of the questions whose answers will be found at the “Protection and Safety of Children and Young People within Youth Work” training which will be organised by Youth Work Centre within the project called “21 Days Challenge – Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Prevention of Risk Behaviour”, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia and IOGT-NTO.

At the Ecological Centre at Sremski Karlovci, from 15 until 17 November, the training will be held with the purpose of increasing safety and protection of young people within the youth work through cross-sectoral collaboration.

The purpose this training is to train the referents for protection and safety of children and young people, who will initiate the process of the creation of protection policies and safety of children and young people.

Criteria for the selection of participants:
They should be active members of the organisations which are members of NAPOR, KOMS or youth office which nominates them
They should have experience in direct work with young people of at least 1 year
They should be highly motivated for the improvement of safety and systematic care about young people at local community

Note:
The advantage in the selection of participants will be given to the associations which are members of the associations NAPOR and KOMS which implement direct youth work, as well as youth offices which are included in the maintenance of youth clubs/centres.
