OPENS School of DJ-ing “Youth Vibe”
Today, it seems quite easy to become a DJ.
The availability of music, equipment, information – has led to a large number of those who want and try that, however – the percentage of those who manage to position themselves at the scene and make an exquisite career is low.
What’s the secret?
What factors are important, are there crucial ones?
The school of DJ-ing is imagined as a place where participants will have the opportunity to learn more about this topic, to exchange their experiences, learn the basis of mixing and practicing of DJ skills on professional equipment.
The host is Tijana Kabić, DJ with long-term experiences and numerous performances in Serbia and abroad: she has been performing in the region (Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Malta), at the clubs and festivals such as Exit, Green Love, Love Fest, Kalemegdan Summer Fest…
Six meetings are planned:
Workshop – 22 March, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Introduction. Mutual introduction of the participants and introduction with the concept of electronic music – history, development, popularity today. DJ as profession.
Workshop – 23 March, 12 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Introduction with different equipment used today. Basis of mixing: what styles are there?
Beatmatching vs. sync. practicing.
Workshop – 29 March, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
How to become a DJ? Finding music. Networking. Organisation of events. DJ host.
Workshop – 30 March, 12 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Workshop – 13 April, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Software: Tractor. Use, advantages and disadvantages. Mixing.
Workshop – 14 April, 12 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Mixing. Practice. Final presentation.

A few days before the workshop, you will be informed about the participation in the workshop, via email. The participation is free of charge.
You do not need DJ equipment.
