I AM FREE NOT TO WANT – LOVE IS NOT VIOLENCE!
RECOGNISE GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE
One-day workshop for the representatives of youth organisations with the purpose of increasing awareness about unacceptability of gender-based violence among young people with improvement of prevention, as well as support and help who have suffered violence is organised by Autonomous Women’s Centre (AWC) and OPENS 2019 who organise activities intended for youth organisations.
Within the implementation of OPENS programme for 2019, AWC is organising one-day workshops for the representatives of youth organisations. The workshop is organised for 25 participants, it lasts 7 hours and is based on interactive work with the purpose of increasing knowledge about gender-based violence, its causes and consequences, prejudice related to this phenomena. Apart from that, the focus is on the recognition and approach to young people who have experienced gender-based violence or those who are known or assumed to be violent and increasing knowledge about the sources of support and help for the victims of violence. The education also opens the topic of sexual harassment. The workshop is intended primarily to those who are in direct contact with young people and to whom young people address for information and support, within their work.
The workshops will be organised in Novi Sad, in two terms:

Participation at the workshop is free of charge, with lunch and refreshment.
